PLEASE NOTE:
All individuals who are looking to obtain an Ontario Security Guard or Private Investigator License must meet the following requirements:
1) Be 18 years of age or older
2) Be entitled to work in Canada
3) Have a clean criminal record (detailed information regarding criminal offences can be found here.)

Security Guard Training consists of 40 Hours of study material, and Private Investigator Training consists of 50 Hours of study material, both mandated by the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

Many people enter the security and investigation field to start and maintain a career as a security guard, loss prevention officer, and/or private investigator, where others enter as a stepping stone to policing, corrections, and the like.

SecurGARD training programs are designed to allow you to study independently; however, our qualified trainers are always here to help in times when you have questions or require assistance.
Students can complete the Security Guard Program in as little as 5 days and the Private Investigator Program in as little as 6 days. But don’t feel rushed! Your programs are available to you for a full 90 DAY period for each program from the time of enrollment.
