COURSE INFORMATION AND FEES
1.1 Name of Course: 40 Hour Mandatory Security Training (Basic Security Training Course)
The Course and its contents have been approved by the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

1.2 Date of Commencement and Completion: Upon submitting this form and payment, your course will commence immediately and shall have a minimum duration of 40 Hours. The course will have a maximum duration of 3 months (90 Days) from date of enrolment and shall be deemed expired thereafter. Students whose course have expired will be required to begin the enrolment process in its entirety.

1.3 Type of Qualification: Notice to Ministry of the Solicitor General of course completion by training completion number.

1.4 Organization Conferring Qualification: Careerinsecurity.ca/ SecurGARD  and The Private Security and Investigative Services Branch

1.5 Course Fees: The course fees shall be apportioned as set out in Schedule 1.7 (Course Payment) and shall, subject to Clause 2, be payable on or before the dates set out therein.

1.6 Payment of Course Fees, Deposit and Additional Fees: Course Payment, in the amount of $ 99.00 +HST shall be paid on or before the dates specified therein

1.7 Issue of Receipts: For every payment made by the Student to Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD, the aforementioned shall issue a receipt to the Student stipulating (i) the amount paid, (ii) the date of payment, and (iii) the purpose of such payment (with a proper breakdown of the payment amount, where applicable).

1.8 First Aid Training: The students understands and agrees that the Emergency Level First Aid portion of this course is not included in this course unless otherwise noted. The student further understands that prior to being eligible for course completion code, proof of the Emergency Level First Aid Training course completion must be submitted to Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD by email or fax.

1.9 Student Standard Requirements: Students enrolling in the 40 Hr Mandatory Security Training Course, understand that there is no age requirement for course enrollment, however students must be 18Years of age or older to be eligible for the Ministry testing, and must possess a clean criminal record for security guard license application.

 2. REFUND POLICIES
Careerinnsecurity.ca/SecurGARD shall not refund any monies paid that were for the purpose of course payment and/or administration fees and material costs.

3. STUDENTS
3.1 Student Placement Not Transferable: The Student Placement in the course is non transferable and will expire upon the Student ceasing attendance. Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD is under an obligation to inform the Private Security and Investigative Services Branch of the Student’s enrollment and withdrawal from, or completion of his/her course of study.

3.2 Withdrawing from the Course: Any student who withdraws from the Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD course prior to completion for the purpose of enrolling with another training facility, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD course without just cause (Clause 2.1) and shall therefore not be eligible for any refunds.

4. CONFIDENTIALITY
Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of student personal information and undertakes not to divulge any student personal information to any third party without the prior written consent of the Student, except for the purpose of Clause 4. (EAP)

Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of its affiliates and/or associates and therefore will NOT release to any person any information relating to its affiliates and/or associates and/or any information relating to the relationship between Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD and its affiliates and/or associates, regardless of the nature.

5. NO WARRANTY
Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD disclaims any and all warranties whether expressed or implied, that a satisfactory passing grade will be achieved on the Ministry of the Solicitor General testing, as a result of the enrollment in the Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD course.

Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD does not guarantee employment to individuals participating in the Employment Assistance Program.
User License Agreement

This Agreement contains the complete and entire understanding and agreement between you and Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD  (“Licensor”) and supersedes any previous communications, representations, or agreements, verbal or written, related to the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement may not be modified or amended orally, impliedly, or in any manner not set forth in writing or permitted by this Agreement.

This Agreement may be amended by Licensor at any time and without notice, but only by amending this document as otherwise agreed to in writing by you and Licensor.

Any amendments will become effective 30 days after being agreed to in writing, unless circumstances require that a change be immediately implemented. As a condition for this license you agree to periodically check this license Agreement and terms of use.

License Grant
READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING THE CONTENT.
THE CONTENT IS COPYRIGHTED AND LICENSED. BY PURCHASING AND USING THE CONTENT YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING TO THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PURCHASE OR USE THE CONTENT.

Licensor hereby grants to you, and you accept, a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the content only as authorized in this License Agreement.

Prohibited Acts
Except as authorized in this Agreement, no copies of this training material or any portions thereof may be made by you or any person under your authority or control, except for the purpose of distribution amongst registered employees and/or students of a registered security guard agency and/or registered business entity employing in house security personnel as recognized by the Ministry of the Solicitor General by such agency and/or business entity, at the discretion of and approval from Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD. You agree that you will not assign, sublicense, transfer, pledge, lease, rent, lend, or otherwise dispose of the content, or any part thereof, or share your rights under this License Agreement, including passwords and user names. You agree that you will only be permitted to sell the contents of this training material to your registered employees, and/or registered students, if you are a registered security agency and/or registered business entity employing in house security personnel as recognized by the Ministry of the Solicitor General, at the discretion of and approval from Careerinsecurity.ca/SecurGARD . You agree that you will not disassemble, decompile, convert to another programming language, or otherwise translate the content, and that you will not rent, lease, or lend the content, or any component of it. You agree that you will not alter, publish, copy, cut, modify or transform the content, or any component of it, in any form to any storage medium, known or unknown, for any purpose whatsoever, except as authorized. You will be held legally responsible for any trademark or copyright infringement that is caused or encouraged by your failure to abide by the terms of this License Agreement.

Licensor reserves the right to deny access to any person and/or to terminate this license for any reason if Licensor reasonably believes that is not being used for its intended purpose, or for any other reason in the sole discretion of Licensor.
Licensor’s Rights

You acknowledge and agree that the content is a proprietary product of the Licensor, protected under the copyright law. You further acknowledge and agree that all rights, title, and interest in and to the content, including associated intellectual property rights, are and shall remain with the Licensor.

No Warranty
THE CONTENT IS LICENSED “AS IS,” AND LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
